In keeping with the Bernardo regime's promise to bring fresh blood to Ulster County government, yet another loyal county employee has been led to the executioners block. Legislative clerk Nettie Thomshaw has been summarily fired, likely to make way for yet another crony appointment. Who's it going to be this time, Terry? I know there are plenty of hangers-on within your immediate circle who can't seem to otherwise hold down a regular day job.
Just which one of these brown-nosers and miscreants will get the nod? Who knows. And it also makes you wonder who will be next to the guillotine in the Bernardo putsch.
Truly sickening.
Blood is running through Fair St -- this tyrant is barbaric! UC legislature, wake up! A vote of no-confidence on this crazed lunatic is in order.
ReplyDeleteYou got that right. And she was dismissed without cause, according to Robin Yess's website. Tomshaw isn't in the circle of Bernardo cronies, so she was dumped.
ReplyDeleteAn earlier commenter suggested that the legislature look at a vote of no confidence against Queen Terry. Maybe cloakroom could look into whether this is possible.
A vote to recall requires 2/3 we should watch close and dump the ones who hold it up. maybe put the motion in place and just embarass her to be sure she knows people really don't like her or her husband. remember he fixed the election she never won an election she runs unopposed after buying it
ReplyDeleteOutrageous! Nettie is one of the nicest, most cooperative, helpful people I ever met. I doubt there was a political bone in her body. Maybe that's the problem. I get it that the Chairwoman has certain rights...appoint her confidential secretary, attorney, etc. But it is the Legislature that hires/fires the Legislative staff. Where is the outcry? Does anyone on Fair Street see the oxymoron in working on "Fair" Street? Does the elevator suck your spine out on the way to the 6th floor? All the wannabe leaders...Ronk, Roberts, Gerentine, Maloney, Harris, et al need to find their spines and their voices and stop playing lock-step with this Chair. Outrageous.
ReplyDeleteRe-call vote would be in order. Never seen anything like the havoc that has been wreaked on the Clerk's office and the Legislators but it's in keeping with Bernardo's game plan. While planning a recent event at UCCC, Bernardo showed up and didn't like it that the seats for the Legislators, along with hers, were facing the audience. She ordered them moved so only she was facing the audience and the Legislators sat so the audience could look at the backs of their heads!!! Self-important and self-absorbed?
ReplyDeleteBarbienardo has to go if the Republicans are to survive. It is that simple. It is up to them to pull the plug before she takes them all down, and at this rate, it will the next election.
